About the Founder

      Dr. Andrew J. Edelman is regarded as one of the world’s foremost experts in the fields of conflict management systems design, reality-based training and interpersonal risk mitigation with over 25 years of experience within corporate, university, and government settings. Managing multiple domestic and international law enforcement training projects, including those of a highly-sensitive or classified nature, he is a recognized expert within the international law enforcement community as founder and innovator of the Full Spectrum Intervention (FSI), Interactive Reality-Based Training (IRBT) and Tactical Decision-Making Team (TDMT) models for the effective management of violent escalations. 

In partnership with the University of Phoenix South Florida Campus, College of Education, Dr. Edelman has introduced Verbal Conflict Management Live!, the world’s only reality-based, live simulation training program to address all phases of effective classroom management within high-risk environments, designed to reduce system-wide teacher turnover and improve classroom climate and safety. He has also designed and implemented global teacher training programs in partnership with Bahamian and Central American educators and administrators, with the goal of increasing instructional development, presentation enhancement, classroom management, and risk mitigation proficiency worldwide. Dr. Edelman is presently developing a unique leadership development consulting partnership with other experts in Ghana, West Africa, Toronto, Canada, and Southeast Asia, slated for rollout this year.

A highly sought-after speaker, Dr. Andy Edelman's presentations focus on transformational leadership development strategies for individuals, teams and organizations interested in becoming the best of the best. Dr. Edelman has recently partnered with a variety of South Florida organizations including the University of Phoenix South Florida Campus, College of Education to announce his updated conflict management system entitled Full Spectrum Intervention (FSI), the world's only conflict management model that deals with all five critical phases of escalated behavior. Co-founder of the Interactive Reality-Based Training (IRBT) system with renowned law enforcement training consultant Lt. Steve Sheridan, President of Florida-based Leadership and Training Research Institute, Inc.,   Dr. Edelman continues to expand these breakthrough conflict management and violence prevention programs for public, private and government sector organizations throughout the world.

Having served as a crisis intervention team leader, police officer, and defensive tactical consultant for numerous law enforcement and military agencies, Dr. Edelman brings over 25 years of real-world experience in the field of violence prevention by developing live simulation training-based programs for students, teachers, administrators, police officers, and parents that can dramatically reduce the probability of disruptive, assaultive or armed escalation.
